Visitors - Visitor numbers see largest fall since 2003

Las Vegas in July experienced its largest monthly decline in visitor traffic since the start of the Iraq war in March 2003, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority reported today.

Visitor traffic fell 5 percent versus the same month a year ago

Nevada released its May tourism numbers a few days ago.  The whole report can be viewed here.

Not a good month as expected, especially after the terrible gaming revenue numbers came out.  The tourism numbers were down pretty meaningfully, but not as much as the gaming numbers, which means visitors are gambling less.  I guess thats what you would expect when people have less money in their pockets.
