Prominent Pahrump developer Hans Seibt is being investigated for criminal charges in connection with his bankruptcy filing, an investigator confirmed this week.

Boyd Gaming is offering to purchase Station Casinos as part of a reorganization plan or a bankruptcy auction.

In a letter delivered to Station’s board of directors today, Boyd Chief Executive Officer Keith Smith said his company is prepared to offer about $950 million for most of the company’s casinos, excluding Red Rock Resort, Boulder Station, Palace Station and Sunset Station. Boyd is also interested in purchasing Station’s remaining casinos for a yet-to-be-determined price.  Read more

Singer, songwriter and guitarist Kenny Loggins is best known for his lyrical and familiar melodies. He first rose to fame as songwriter for the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s “House at Pooh Corner” and then as a folk rock duet with Loggins & Messina with musician Jim Messina in the early ’70s.

Loggins’ solo debut album, Celebrate Me Home in 1977 spawned his first solo hit of the same name, and in 1978 he won his first Grammy award for his song, “What a Fool Believes.” The following year, Loggins received another Grammy for his hit song “This Is It.” He released High Adventure in 1982 which featured “Don’t Fight It,” a duet with Steve Perry, and “Heart To Heart.”  Read more
